This year, Fredericksburg Lodge recognized Dr. Eric
Wright, Superintendent FISD, and Chris Stevenson, Superintendent HISD,
with “The Lamar Award of Excellence for Personal Achievement”. Named
after the “Father of Texas Education”, a Mason and the second President
of the Republic of Texas, Mirabeau Buonaparte Lamar, was established in
1988 by the Grand Lodge of Texas to honor deserving educators for
dedication, personal accomplishment and outstanding achievement in
Public Education. Master of the Lodge, Randall King, stated in his
presentations that both men have served Public Education in Texas for
over 27 years, and that both men have been superintendent of their
Districts since 2014.

Mackenzie
Elizabeth Davis from Harper High School received a Masonic Continuing
Education Scholarship. Mackenzie wants to attend Texas A&M with a
focus on Marketing and Communications leading to a career in the Fashion
Design Business in New York City.
Colton Tyler Snedecor from
Fredericksburg High School received a Masonic Continuing Education
Scholarship. Colton plans on attending Texas Tech majoring in Ag.
Communications and Marketing with a goal of becoming a lawyer
representing Farm and Ag. Interests.
Cadet Richardo “Ricky”
Robles from Fredericksburg High School received Wilbur Hall Masonic ROTC
Scholarship. Ricky would like to attend Baylor majoring in Political
Science followed by Law School.
