Law Enforcement is a tough job and the men and women who do that job deserve to be recognized for all they do. That is why Fredericksburg lodge  decided we should have a dinner to honor them for their service and invite every law enforcement employee and their spouses to a free night out. Both the Sheriff's department and the City Police are invited. 2009 was Fredericksburg Lodges Second Law Officer appreciation diner but it has meet with such great enthusiasm and successes we are sure to make it an annual event for years to come. 2009 dinner was held on September 25th at the Nimitz Museum Ball Room. Sheriff Buddy Mills and Chief of police Paul Osetrich both took the opportunity to thank their fellow officers for the hard work they put in and for keeping the Fredericksburg community a great place to live. Then our Speaker Fredericksburg Lodge secretary and past master Jim McCrea gave a great presentation about the History of Law enforcement and Masonry In Texas. The talk centered on the fact that so many of the early law men of Texas were Masons, especially the Texas Rangers. And how even today the values of Masonry are the same values that a law officer would like to know his fellow officer exemplifies. IE someone you know you can count on when you need them.  Fredericksburg Lodge is proud to have several Law Enforcement officers among its members and thanks every member the Law Enforcement community for the job they do.
